OVERVIEW
A 9-day budget camping safari in Tanzania typically includes visits to Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara, with camping accommodations throughout. The itinerary focuses on wildlife viewing in these renowned national parks, offering a balance of game drives and cultural experiences.
DAY 1 : Arrival in Arusha & Transfer to Tarangire
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), transfer to Arusha for an overnight stay, and then proceed to Tarangire National Park
DAY 2 : Tarangire National Park
Full day of game drives in Tarangire, known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees.
DAY 3 : Lake Manyara National Park
Morning game drive in Lake Manyara, famous for its tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife.
DAY 4 & 5 : Lake Manyara National Park
Travel to Serengeti, enjoying a full day of game drives in the vast plains, with potential for witnessing the Great Migration (depending on the season).
DAY 6 : Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Morning game drive in Serengeti, followed by a transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
DAY 7 : Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of wildlife viewing, including the chance to see the “Big Five” and other species.
DAY 8 : Ngorongoro to Arusha
Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before transferring back to Arusha.
DAY 9 :
Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.
