MORNING : Discover Historic Stone Town
Your day begins with a hotel pickup at around 8:30 AM, followed by a scenic drive to the heart of Zanzibar City Stone Town. Upon arrival, a professional guide leads you through a fascinating walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore iconic landmarks such as the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, the Sultan’s Palace Museum, Freddie Mercury’s House, and the colorful Darajani Market. As you stroll through narrow alleys, you’ll admire intricate Zanzibari doors, historical mosques, and vibrant street life, all while learning about Stone Town’s Swahili, Arab, and colonial heritage.
LATE MORNING : Market Time & Souvenirs
Around 11:30 AM, after the main tour, enjoy some free time to explore at your own pace. Visit the spice stalls, browse local boutiques for souvenirs, or grab a refreshing drink or snack at one of the rooftop cafés or waterfront spots. This is a great time to soak up the charm of the town and take photos of its rustic beauty.
LATE AFTERNOON : Transfer to Kuza Cave in Jambiani
At approximately 12:30 PM, you’ll depart Stone Town and drive southward to Jambiani village home to the beautiful Kuza Cave, also known as Salaam Cave. The journey takes about an hour, passing through coconut plantations, rural villages, and coastal views, giving you a different glimpse of Zanzibar’s landscape.
AFTERNOON : Swimming & Relaxing at Kuza Cave
By 1:30 PM, you’ll arrive at the peaceful and hidden Kuza Cave. Surrounded by tropical jungle, the cave features a stunning natural pool of cool, clear water inside a limestone cavern. Swim, float, or simply relax in the tranquil atmosphere. You may also explore the small cultural center on-site, where you can learn about Swahili traditions, local wildlife, and even try optional extras like drumming or cooking experiences (subject to availability).
LATE AFTERNOON : Refreshments & Return
After your refreshing swim, enjoy light refreshments like fresh fruits or juice before preparing for the journey back. At around 4:00 PM, begin the return drive to your hotel, arriving by 5:00–5:30 PM, depending on your location. The day ends with a sense of connection to both Zanzibar’s history and its hidden natural wonders.
