MORNING : Leisure and Preparation
Start your day with a relaxed morning at your hotel or resort. Take your time to enjoy a delicious breakfast, lounge by the beach or pool, or explore nearby attractions. Since the sunset cruise begins later in the afternoon, the morning is yours to unwind and soak in the island atmosphere. It’s recommended to eat a light lunch and dress in comfortable beachwear. Don’t forget essentials like your camera, sunglasses, and a light shawl in case the sea breeze gets cool in the evening.
AFTERNOON : Pickup and Drive to Kendwa
Around 4:30 PM, our friendly driver will pick you up from your accommodation and transfer you to the beautiful Kendwa Beach. The drive takes you through scenic coastal villages and offers glimpses of Zanzibar’s lush tropical landscapes. As you approach Kendwa, the vibrant beach scene begins to unfold with palm trees, soft white sand, and the tranquil Indian Ocean.
Boarding and Setting Sail
By 5:00 PM, you’ll arrive at Kendwa Beach and board a traditional wooden dhow, warmly welcomed by the local sailing crew. After a short safety briefing, the boat will gently set sail across the calm waters. As the dhow glides along the coastline, enjoy the cooling sea breeze and the relaxed rhythm of island life beginning to slow down for the day.
Cruising with Music and Refreshments
Once underway, the crew will serve a selection of fresh tropical fruits, light snacks, and soft drinks.
